HIV prevention programmes with AGYW, 30-31 January 2020

On 30-31 January, the Global HIV Prevention Coalition Secretariat organized a meeting titled ‘HIV Prevention programmes among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW); Harmonised approaches to implementation and the way forward’, in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting discussed the scope of adolescent girls and young women HIV prevention packages building on updated UNAIDS HIV incidence estimates, implementation experiences and lessons learned from existing PEPFAR, Global Fund, civil society and government programmes. One of the outcomes of the meeting was a decision-making guide on investment to increase the scale and impact of comprehensive HIV prevention programmes among adolescent girls and young women.
