The WHO launched the consolidated guidelines for key populations on HIV, viral hepatitis and STI prevention, testing, treatment, and care in July 2022 after intensive consultation with stakeholders. It serves as an update to the previous edition (2014 and 2016) of the consolidated guidelines on HIV. In addition to several literature reviews of the evidence leading to updated recommendations, the WHO also commissioned key-populations-led research to gather insight into key populations’ values and preferences for HIV, viral hepatitis, and STI services.
