Services must be convenient and comprehensive.

HIV prevention programmes for men and boys are essential for their own health and the health of their female partners. We need to broaden the focus on condoms and voluntary medical male circumcision to address other aspects of men's sexual and reproductive health.

Conclusive evidence shows that voluntary medical male circumcision substantially reduces men’s chances of acquiring HIV through vaginal sex. VMMC services can provide a gateway to a range of HIV prevention and other health services for men and boys.
