A study published in the Journal of the International AIDS Society presents findings on the adverse events (AEs) that that occurred during eight years of providing voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) in three regions of Tanzania and discusses the role of AE reporting systems in maintaining the safety and quality of scaled-up VMMC services.
