This flyer describes a 9 December satellite session of the 21st International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA 2021) that examined the past and potential impact of voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) on HIV in eastern and southern Africa. Convened by the Joint United Nations on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the U.S. President's Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the satellite included a presentation of the preliminary findings of a landscape assessment of the sustainability of VMMC programmes across the priority countries and a panel discussion on VMMC sustainability goals, the impact of COVID-19 in 2021, and programme ambitions for 2022 and beyond. ICASA 2021 was held in Durban, South Africa, and virtually from 6 to 11 December.
