Commissioned by UNAIDS, this road map was developed by the Iranian Research Centre for HIV/AIDS under the direct supervision of the National Supervision of Implementation of Programme committee. It contains an account of all the steps taken in the development of the road map, including: 1) assessing key prevention needs, 2) setting or revising national targets, 3) developing a capacity development and technical assistance plan, 4) reviewing social contracting practices, 5) conducting a resource gap analysis and 6) establishing monitoring and evaluation and accountability mechanisms.
