The Rwandan Ministry of Health's (MOH's) top priorities for HIV prevention and care are to identify HIV cases among those who do not know they are living with HIV, reduce new HIV infections and expand antiretroviral treatment to reach all identified as HIV positive. To help achieve those objectives, the MOH updated the national HIV prevention and care guidelines in 2020 to reflect the current scientific evidence, adapted to the Rwandan context.
