Almost 35 million men and boys opted for voluntary medical male circumcision in the 15 priority countries from 2008–2022. But the potential of this cost-effective prevention tool and of other evidence-based HIV interventions has not been fully realized, according to a new report. The Path that Ends AIDS, a global update from the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), makes the case that ending AIDS as a public health threat is a political and financial choice.
