Appendix L of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) 12th Annual Report to Congress describes the progress so far in helping 14 priority countries in eastern and southern Africa reach 80 percent prevalence of male circumcision and avert millions of HIV infections. As of 15 September 2015, 8.9 million men had sought and received voluntary medical male circumcision services supported by PEPFAR. Appendix L of the full report includes graphs showing male circumcisions by country as of 15 September 2015 and the potential impact of VMMC for HIV prevention in an illustrative priority country (Zambia).
