The 20 by 20 Condom Initiative is spearheaded by UNFPA in collaboration with USAID, AIDSFree, PEPFAR and the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition with the aim of increasing the access to and use, and availability of 20 billion condoms in low- and middle-income countries by 2020. The report of the Third 20 by 20 Workshop, titled "Accelerating Commercial Engagement in Sub-Saharan Africa," provides findings on the progress review of the initiative and on market research commissioned by UNFPA and USAID over the last two years. Meeting participants developed recommendations for cross-sector collaboration, and drafted country action plans for refinement and endorsement by national governments to increase public-private sector engagement, tackle regulatory and other barriers to market entry and expansion, and increase condom use, especially among youth.
