This guideline covers all settings where routine sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and HIV care and treatment services are offered to HIV-negative women and women living with HIV, their partners and their families. It is to be used in all South African health care facilities and by doctors, nurses and allied health workers at primary, secondary and tertiary care levels where clients may require uncomplicated vertical prevention transmission care. This guideline does not cover clients with complex care issues who may require individualised client care approaches.
