During a pilot project in Tanzania’s Iringa region, more than 2,000 male infants were circumcised in less than two years in eight facilities, representing 16.4 percent of all male births in those facilities. This article, published in a special supplement of Global Health: Science and Practice, presents findings from a study conducted among users of the EIMC services and other parents and guardians in the communities surrounding the facilities to help guide rollout of EIMC in Tanzania and other countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
