This brief for policymakers and programme managers describes revisions made to Iran's comprehensive HIV prevention package after the country joined the Global HIV Prevention Coalition. It is structured around three impact priorities: 1) HIV prevalence in the general population (target <0.15% by 2020); 2) HIV prevalence in populations at risk of transmission from injecting drug use (target <13% by 2020); and 3) HIV prevalence in populations at risk of sexual transmission (target <5% by 2020).
