This article in the Journal of the International AIDS Society describes mathematical modelling to estimate the cost-effectiveness and epidemiological impact of the dapivirine vaginal ring for pre-exposure prophylaxis among women in South Africa. Voluntary medical male circumcision and antiretroviral therapy, scaled up to UNAIDS fast-track targets, were also implemented during the study.
