The 2018 guidelines are focused on optimizing HIV prevention and treatment services through introduction of better medicines, diagnostics, and patient-centred approached in service delivery. Key topics covered include HIV testing services and linkage to prevention and treatment; evaluation and follow-up of PLHIV; standard care for PLHIV; ART in infants, children, adolescents, and adults; prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV; TB/HIV coinfection, and hepatitis B and C/HIV coinfection.
