Voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) and vaccination against human papilloma virus (HPV) are both key parts of a comprehensive approach to cervical cancer prevention and control, explains Paul Bloem of the World Health Organization in a presentation about linking VMMC and other adolescent health interventions with HPV vaccination. He gave this presentation at the Meeting on Implementing the 2017-2021 Framework for VMMC for the Eastern and Southern Africa Region in Durban, South Africa, on 1 March 2017.
