Dr. Gissenge J.I. Lija of the Ministry of Health and Social Work describes the progress made in scaling up voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) in Tanzania, the strategies used to deliver VMMC services, the key challenges facing the programme, and its priorities for 2017-2021.
