This road map is a strategic document designed to guide national actions in the next crucial years for the United Republic of Tanzania in efforts to reduce new HIV infections, improve the quality of life for those living with HIV, and ultimately, achieve our goal of ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. It delineates a comprehensive approach that addresses the multifaceted nature of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The strategies included are inclusive, evidence-based, and tailored to meet the unique needs of our diverse population. From enhancing access to preventive services and expanding treatment and care services to integrating HIV prevention into broader health and social services, our approach is holistic and grounded in the principles of equity, dignity, and respect for all.
