The three-year Youth HIV Prevention Campaign, led by the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC), rests on the integration of critical health and social services and youth development programmes, social and behaviour change communication, and mobilisation for better access to and improved quality of health products and services. This campaign takes advantage of the expansion of tools for HIV prevention in recent years and the fact that there are now options for all young people, whatever their sex, gender, sexual orientation, HIV status, relationship status, and social and personal values.
