Trained nurses and researchers conducted a cross-sectional study at three medical male circumcision (MMC) clinics in South Africa over 12 months to assess attitudes toward PrePex circumcision among three groups: men who chose to receive PrePex MMC, people accompanying men or adolescents seeking either PrePex or surgical MMC, and men who chose not to become circumcised with the PrePex device. An article describing the results was published in a special supplement of the Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes about studies on the introduction of the ShangRing and PrePex devices.
