This document reports the results of a cross-sectional bio-behavioural survey on the situation and needs of incarcerated individuals in Bouar, Bossangoa and Bambari, Central African Republic, with regard to HIV, syphilis and tuberculosis. The study provides the first reliable data on the social and sexual vulnerabilities of this population, their higher HIV prevalence compared to the general population and the low level of knowledge about HIV transmission and prevention.
