Researchers conducted a cluster-randomised trial to assess the effectiveness of Make-The-Cut-Plus (MTC+), a single, 60-minute, sport-based intervention, in increasing uptake of voluntary medical male circumcision among male students ages 14 to 20 at 26 secondary schools in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The MTC+ sessions consisted of an interactive game, a personal story shared by a trained facilitator-coach, and a group discussion. Published in a supplement to the Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes about interventions to create demand for VMMC, this article presents the results of the trial.
