These 2019 technical guidelines for HIV prevention, care and treatment in Côte d’Ivoire reflect World Health Organization recommendations from 2018 and government endorsement and ministerial circulars related to the country’s HIV response. Protocols are detailed for antiretroviral therapy; prophylaxis, including prevention of mother-to-child transmission, accidental exposure, sexual violence and pre-exposure prophylaxis; support for people living with HIV; HIV testing, including client initiated, provider initiated and self-testing; sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment; and HIV data collection, management and reporting.
