This presentation summarises the progress that Zambia’s programme has achieved in scaling up voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) — particularly during 2016 — the lessons learned through this experience, and the challenges ahead. It was presented at the Meeting on Implementing the 2017-2021 Framework for Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision for the Eastern and Southern Africa Region in Durban, South Africa, on 27 February 2017.
