PrEP and PEP are highly effective HIV prevention options but may not be accessible and are underused globally. Many people are unaware that consistent use of HIV treatment by people living with HIV can prevent HIV transmission to their partners. The introduction of new long-acting products as additional options could help improve uptake and use of HIV prevention.
