National Health Strategic Plan
Zambia’s plan provides a strategic framework for achieving the mission of providing equitable access to cost-effective, quality health as close to families as possible, leaving no one behind. Its five priorities are to strengthen: (1) health service delivery for prevention and primary health care; (2) maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health and nutrition; (3) control of communicable diseases (malaria, HIV, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections); (4) control of noncommunicable diseases; and (5) integrated health support systems.
