This article, published in the Chinese Journal of AIDS and STD, outlines the population groups suitable for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and the assessment procedure for professionals to follow to determine eligibility. It also describes the tests rquired before PrEP can be prescribed, the various medication regimens and management of PrEP over time. Common problems with PrEP methods and management are summarised, and a table comparing recommended methods and management is included.
